Scam Alert — Fraudulent “Prime Value” Website and Mobile Applications
March 2026
We have recently become aware that scammers are impersonating Prime Value Asset Management Limited (“Prime Value”) by:
- operating a fake website at https://www.primevaluecn.com that imitates our genuine website at https://www.primevalue.com; and
- operating several different fraudulent mobile applications, including under the names “Prime Value Fund” and “Prime Value”.
We believe that these fake platforms have been used to fraudulently solicit investment funds from members of the public in China, including through WeChat social media group chats where individuals have been encouraged to invest through the fake apps.
The website at https://www.primevaluecn.com (and any website other than https://www.primevalue.com.au) and any apps purporting to be associated with Prime Value are not affiliated with Prime Value in any way. These are fraudulent operations carried out by third parties using our name without authorisation.
Prime Value has:
- not established any website or investment platform in mainland China;
- never collected investment funds from investors in mainland China, or otherwise conducted any investment-related business activities in mainland China; and
- never released any mobile application, whether for China or otherwise.
To help protect yourself, please remember:
- Use official channels only. Always verify information through official and legitimate channels. Prime Value’s official website is www.primevalue.com.au
- Verify before you invest. Carefully verify the authenticity of any investment platform, app, or website before making any investment decision or transferring any funds.
- Never download unfamiliar apps. Never download unfamiliar software or apps, even if told it is for security or investment purposes.
Prime Value’s actions
Prime Value has reported this matter to the relevant regulatory authorities, including in China, and has requested that these authorities conduct an investigation and take appropriate action against the perpetrators in accordance with the law.
Prime Value will continue to follow up on the progress of the authorities’ investigations, and reserves the right to pursue all available legal claims against any persons and/or entities who are found to have been involved in any impersonation of Prime Value, infringement of any Prime Value intellectual property rights, or any other fraudulent activities involving the unauthorised use of Prime Value’s brands or other intellectual property assets.
Prime Value is also taking steps to have the fake website and mobile apps of which we are aware taken down. However, while we will continue to monitor online channels to identify other fraudulent websites and apps purporting to be affiliated with Prime Value which may be created in future, we may not become aware of all instances of such fraudulent or misleading activity. As above, we recommend that you verify the authenticity of any investment platform, app or website before making any investment decision or transferring any funds.
