Our recent video, shot as we approached International Woman’s Day (IWD), sees two of the key personnel from Prime Dairy Kirsteen Keightley, General Manager and Anne Maree Monson, Farm Manager Waratah Park, speak about the changes they have seen in the agricultural industry to be more gender inclusive.

Anne Maree states “Back in the day it was hard to be a woman in a male dominated field like agriculture – that has now changed for the better”.

Prime Value is certainly contributing to and supporting change, with females representing over 45% of our workforce and 7 out of 11 of our farm managers, at the time of recording.

As we reflect on the theme of IWD for this year – “Inspire Inclusion”, we’d like to encourage the next generation of agriculture workers to consider a career path in this exciting field. As Kirsti stated, “We would encourage young women to think about a career in agriculture and there are many roles available in this sector”.
