We are thrilled to announce that the Novotel Cairns Oasis Resort (NCOR), one of the standout properties in our portfolio, has won Gold in the highly competitive 4-4.5 Star Accommodation category at the prestigious 2024 Queensland Tourism Awards. This marks a significant milestone for Prime Value and Shakespeare Property Group, as NCOR has been recognised as the best deluxe accommodation in the state, a testament to our commitment to delivering exceptional property standards and service quality.

Earlier this year, NCOR became the “First Sustainable Tourism Certified Resort” in North Queensland, certified by Ecotourism Australia. Becoming the first resort to achieve this in the North Queensland community means that NCOR is a ‘sustainably focused urban hotel that meets international best-practice sustainability standards against environmental, social, cultural and sustainable management pillars.’ This is a testament to our amazing Team who continue to show commitment and dedication around the importance of sustainability.

The Queensland Tourism Awards, which have been running for nearly four decades, are regarded as the pinnacle of recognition in the state’s tourism industry. Winners of these awards are automatically entered into the Qantas Australian Tourism Awards, further elevating NCOR’s exposure on a national scale. This win follows NCOR’s Silver award in 2021 and Bronze in 2023, showcasing consistent excellence over the years. The journey from previous nominations to this Gold victory highlights the dedication of our team to enhancing guest experiences and maintaining the highest operational standards. The evaluation process for this award involved a comprehensive site visit by the judging panel, with a focus not only on front-of-house service but also on risk management, environmental practices, and overall operational excellence. The property’s outstanding consumer ratings and online reviews further contributed to its success.

As a Gold award recipient, NCOR will benefit from extensive media exposure through the Queensland Tourism Industry Council (QTIC), which will be instrumental in raising its profile ahead of the Qantas Australian Tourism Awards in March 2025. This increased visibility strengthens the commercial value of the property, adding long-term benefits for our investors.

We are proud to be recognised at this level and excited about the future opportunities this award will bring. It reflects Prime Value and Shakespeare Property Group’s unwavering dedication to delivering value through excellence in property management and guest satisfaction.
